Privacy policy
Who processes your data?
Julien Rosamond EI, trading as Jon Systems, publisher of jonsystems.fr (see the legal notice), is the data controller. Contact for any question or to exercise your rights: contact@jonsystems.fr.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, the following data is transmitted: your name, your email address, the reason for your request (chosen from a list: discussing a project, project audit/recovery, technical exchange) and, if you provide it, an optional free-text context. The name, email address and reason fields are required to reply to you; the context is optional.
What actually happens: this information is sent by email, via the Resend sending service, directly to the publisher's professional mailbox (Google, Gmail) via contact@jonsystems.fr. No database, no file, no user account stores this information on our servers — the form only sends an email, nothing more.
Legal basis: legitimate interest of the publisher in processing the contact requests addressed to them (Article 6.1.f of the GDPR).
Retention: exchanges are retained for 3 years after the last contact, then deleted.
Theme and language preferences
The site stores your display preference (light/dark theme, language) directly in your browser, using a technology called localStorage — local memory on your device, different from a cookie. This information never leaves your browser, is transmitted to no one, and is used solely to save you from reconfiguring these preferences on each visit. No consent is required for this type of storage, strictly necessary for the comfort of use that you yourself have requested.
Fonts
The fonts used on this site are hosted directly on our own servers — no request is sent to a third-party font service to display them, and no data is therefore transmitted for this purpose.
Recipients and processors
The recipients of the data are: Resend (email sending service), Vercel (site hosting) and Google (Gmail mailbox for receiving messages via contact@jonsystems.fr).
Transfers outside the European Union
To process your message, three service providers established in the United States are involved: Vercel Inc. (website hosting), Resend (email delivery) and Google (receipt in the publisher's mailbox). These transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Article 45 GDPR): on 27 October 2026, Vercel Inc., Resend and Google LLC each appeared, with the status "Active", on the official list of certified organisations, available at https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list. Should any of these providers cease to appear on that list, the transfer could continue only on the basis of another safeguard provided for by the GDPR (for example the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, Article 46), and this policy would be updated.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection (when the legal basis is legitimate interest) and portability (when it applies). You may exercise these rights by writing to contact@jonsystems.fr. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
